These Guidance Notes explain the basis of the ICC With Quantities Contract and have been prepared to assist users in the preparation of contract documents and understand the manner in which the contract is intended to be administered. They are not intended to provide legal interpretation and do not form part of the contract. The Guidance Notes explain and distinguish this form of contract from the Measurement Version, highlighting the substantial changes that have been made. They focus on the key contract clauses including the responsibilities of the parties, design, allocation of risk, valuation and payments and dispute resolution and provide a useful overview of this new contract.
