BS 7121-2-3:2012 provides guidance covering the pre-use checks, in-service maintenance, thorough examination (following installation, in service and following exceptional circumstances) and supplementary testing of mobile cranes, including truck cranes, wheeled rough terrain cranes, wheeled yard cranes, crawler mounted cranes, mini-cranes and vehicle mounted self-erecting tower cranes.
Use of the guidance given in this standard can help protect safety of crane operators and can also be taken as an indication of good practice on site.
