The BCIS Painting and Decorating Price Book 2020, 27th edition has been thoroughly revised and updated. It contains guide prices for redecoration work in existing properties as well as decoration work in new buildings, including internal and external work and a full range of surface treatments.

This is probably the most reliable price book available for the painting and decorating professional suitable for projects up to approximately £30,000 in value.

The pricing is presented in two sections, firstly 'prices per operation' or 'per coat' and secondly in composite, or compound prices for a range on the most common specifications for rapid cost calculations. For every price, the detailed labour content and materials usage is shown.

In this edition, we have added new items on composite section. The prices included in the BCIS Painting and Decorating Price Book 2020 are net unit prices and "exclude" all overheads and profit which should be added by the user in accordance with its own, or managements policy at the time.

Allowances in the painting and decorating price book must be made for all site overheads (plant, equipment, scaffold, ladders, steps, dust sheets etc and storage, supervision, messing facilities and services) as may be required on any project, as well as all offsite overheads (office, administration, insurance, transport etc).
